FedEx Ground – ZLEB / 0037
West Lebanon, New Hampshire
The Governor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities recognizes the FedEx Ground management and staff as recipients of the Spirit of ADA Award for 2015.
This award is presented to individuals and businesses who reflect the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act in employment practices, including accessibility, recruiting, hiring, accommodating and support of a person(s) with disability as
an overall employment strategy.
The management team at FedEx Ground has offered multiple candidates flexible work schedules and they are committed to hiring and retaining people who require this flexibility. Candidates are given the opportunity for employment, no matter what their disabilities may be, through job shadowing, on-site job trials, and appropriate placements. If an employee is not working out in a given position, that employee is encouraged to try a variety of positions until the “best fit” is found. The staff is also supportive of the effort, providing assistance to those with disabilities as needed to help them become productive members of the team.
Because FedEx Ground is dedicated to hiring people with disabilities, and because they are proactive in supporting them with their ongoing work as needed, Brendan D’Angelo of Creative Workforce Solutions nominated the FedEx Ground management and staff for this award. The Governor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities proudly presents the FedEx Ground team with the Spirit of ADA Award for 2015.
