Creative Workforce Solutions recently held their Annual Business Recognition Breakfast. The Business Recognition Breakfast is one way that CWS and its partner agencies thank the business community for their support of persons with disabilities.
Employer Awards were presented to:
Applebees’s; Boys and Girls Club of Rutland; Country Care Homes,
Inc,; DTZ-Green Mountain College; Killington Resort; Salvation Army; Turning Point Center of Rutland; Vermonsters; Vermont Achievement Center and Young at Heart.
The Silver Bowl Award for Employer of the Year was presented to BROC-Community Action in Southwestern Vermont. The silver bowl award is given to a business or organization who offers employment skills training and job shadowing opportunities to individuals with disabilities in our community. BROC offers opportunities in administration, weatherization, front desk/reception, warehousing, maintenance, and retail.
The Ann Holmblad Memorial Award sponsored by the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce was presented to Nanci Gordon. The award is presented in recognition of selfless dedication to individuals with disabilities and the Rutland Community.
Chamber CEO Tom Donahue was also presented a plaque in recognition of his years of exceptional service to people with barriers, providing opportunities and personal support.
Gary Jaquith, a longtime advocate and CWS Business Account Manager was presented with special recognition in honor of his upcoming retirement on June 26th.
